  1. Excellent write up with so much details for people to know when visiting from January all the way to December. I visited Canada once more than 20 years ago for my honeymoon and it was a pleasant experience. Surely the country is even more vibrant now based on your description. If you have to make a recommendation, which month of the year is the best time to visit Montreal?

  2. Hi Claude,

Thank you for a very informative blog about Montreal . This detailed information is very helpful to see if you are visiting in the months of summer or winter. I love the tourist attractions that your have included for every month.
As I am a very ‘foody ‘ tourist, can you maybe add some good shopping places or bargains and cheapy food restaurant or places we can go to ?

  3. May through September would be my favorite months to visit Montreal, though April and October don’t seem too bad. I’m from the Pittsburgh, PA area, and our weather is completely random; and there’s no spring or fall, just summer and winter. More rainy days than Seattle, too, can you imagine that?

Montreal would be the perfect summer vacation spot, and it would definitely beat getting away from the humidity we see all the time in the Pittsburgh, region. The 65-70 degree average temperatures are right up my alley, so I’d be someone who would love visiting Montreal.

I do like visiting another nearby city, Cleveland, Ohio, as well, because despite the summertime heat, the wind blowing off the Great Lake Erie gives it a similar feel in the summertime to what Montreal would feel like.

    1. Hi, Todd thank you for your interest. For me personally August, September would be the ideal time to come to Montréal. You still have very warm days and nights are getting a bit chillier. I visited the USA many times and was very impressed by the Chesapeake area and also the Grand Canyon. Just love all my trips to your country.

  4. Great review

I have actually bookmarked this page since I will be visiting Canada soon.
This is so helpful getting insight from someone living there.

So in Montreal it is raining pretty much all year round?

    1. Hi Thabo, we have rain we have snow we have sun we have everything. I don’t know when you plan to come to Montréal but we have four seasons and full of everything. I hope you will enjoy your stay.
